SILENT BODIES, LOUD GAZES

is a printmaking project that explores themes of visibility, objectification, and power dynamics in visual culture. Through bold compositions and a 70s aesthetic, the work interrogates how female bodies are rendered silent while remaining hyper-visible under society's scrutinizing gaze. Drawing on influences such as Barbara Kruger and the Guerrilla Girls, the project uses striking text, bright colors, and famous figures to challenge the passive consumption of the female form. By reclaiming the visual language of activism and subversive media, Silent Bodies, Loud Gazes demands a confrontation between viewer and subject, pushing for awareness and agency in the act of looking.
